Hong Kong Eats + Checking in Ozo Wesley

Hong Kong is one of those countries that you never get sick of even if it's really tiny. I did my research and it's 271 times smaller than the Philippines and yet when you're there, it feels so much bigger because there's so much to see and do. Since I've gone quite a number of times already, (I can't even remember the number anymore) I've done pretty much all the touristy things. Whenever I go, I go for two reasons: to eat and to shop. Since Jacob loves food even more than I do, we made this trip all about food. We've made a list of restaurants that you need to try for your next visit.

We checked in at Ozo Wesley Hong Kong located in Wan Chai. We chose this hotel primarily for its location. It's near a lot of the restaurants on our list. Second, for its interior. It's very trendy and perfect for young travelers like us. It's just a 5 minute walk to the MTR so it's easily accessible.

P.S. We only had four days to explore so this is just a small portion of the food scene in Hong Kong. We were only able to list two per category because there are way too many to go to. These are just some of the ones we researched about.

Best Coffee Shop

1. Cupping Room
Address: 32 Swatow St. Wan Chai

They source their coffee from around the world. I got their black filter coffee.
2. The Coffee Academics
Address: Basement, 41 Staunton, Soho, Hong Kong

They have a Japanese blend coffee called Okinawa and a sweet latte called Manuka. It's best accompanied with their delicious breakfast toast.

Best Cheap Eats

1. Nabe One Hot Pot
Address: 1/F, 32-34 Lock Road, Tsim Sha Tsui
For just 95 HKD, you can get all you-can-eat Prime Beef from the U.S.
2. One Dim Sum
Address: G/F 209A Tung Choi Street Prince Edward

This Michelin starred restaurant is so good and cheap. It's only around Php1000 for two and you'll be too full to move. I always pay a visit whenever I go to Hong Kong. You have to go early so you don't miss out as some dishes are limited.
Best High-End Restaurants

1. Mott 32
Address: Standard Chartered Bank Building, Central, Hong Kong

Be sure to make reservations early.
Barbecue Pluma Iberico Pork (You need to pre-order this and the Suckling Pig)

2. Duck Victoria (Formerly M&C.Duck)
Address: Harbour City, Gateway Arcade, Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

Hands down the best Peking Duck in the world!
Aside from these restaurants, here are other places worth checking out for drinks and dessert.

1. Iron Fairies
Address: LG, 1 Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong
There are iron fairies hanging at the back and displayed on the tables
2. Oddies
Address: 45 Gough Street, Central, Hong Kong
Egg Waffles with Gelato
