Your Home in Boracay: Jony's Boutique Hotel

Where to stay in Boracay

Whenever I am away on a trip, I still look for the comfort of my own home. There's nothing quite like the feeling of sleeping in your own bed after a long day. As much as I love how hotels are spacious and clean, my room is still where I find myself most at peace. Isn't it ironic that we leave to escape but we find the need to bring a piece of home with us? This is why I always choose boutique hotels over big hotel chains because they customise everything according to how you like it to make sure you won't feel homesick. Plus you're sure to get their undivided attention since they can only accommodate a few guests at a time. In Jony's Boutique Hotel, there are only 22 rooms-- ideal for couples, families and groups of friends.

From the moment we set foot on Caticlan, everything went by smoothly all thanks to the incredible service of Jony's. They arranged for our transfers with a third party company called Southwest Tours. As soon as we got out of the airport, a representative escorted us to our van. It is a 10-minute ride to the port of the boats. We didn't have to queue in line. There was a boat already waiting for us. It was VIP treatment all the way.

A personalized note just for me

I met this little cutie at the reception area. She was owned by one of the staff.

Jony's Boutique Hotel is also known for their in-house restaurant called The Pig Out Bistro. The name is apt because I really couldn't stop myself from eating. They are open for breakfast until dinner. Non-checked in guests are welcome to dine with them.

My Thoughts
I think this is just the place to book if you are looking for a quiet area. It isn't beach front which is an both an advantage and distadvantage. You don't have to worry about noisy party goers outside your hotel but it is a good five minute walk to the restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is small but the rooms are ample. The price ranges from P3,500 to P4,500 which is higher compared to most hotels but the service makes it worth it. Even if you don't stay here, you HAVE to try their restaurant. It's one of my favorites on the island.
