Date Night in Macau

  When you think of Macau, the first thing that comes to mind is the Casino or Gambling. It wouldn't come across as a romantic destination but Jacob and I were able to find so many date spots that I'm sure you will enjoy as well. Read on to find out what they are.

1. Visit The Venetian

The Venetian is the largest casino in the world and the largest single structure hotel in Asia. It's impossible to miss because you can spot it from miles away with how huge it is. Aside from the casino, The Venetian has the best restaurants and shopping. My favorite is Lord Stow's Bakery for egg tarts and Jacob's favorite is for Glorious BBQ King for duck. You can also go for a romantic gondola ride. 

 

2. Dine in an authentic Portuguese restaurant

We chose António because it's listed in the Michelin guide as one of the best restaurants in Macau. When you enter, you'll see all the awards that they've won through the years. We ordered all their best sellers. I've never had Portuguese food before. I didn't know what to expect- I thought it would be somewhat like Spanish food since the countries are near each other but it was very different. I noticed that they love tomato and their food is quite sweet. It wasn't my kind of cuisine but it was interesting to try something new.

3. Transport to Paris
Aside from Italy's Venetian, you can also see Paris in Macau. They have a hotel called The Parisian which has their own version of the Eiffel Tower. It's smaller than the real one but it a sight to see.

 

 

 

3. Feel like a kid again at Studio City
Walking inside studio city is like walking on the set of your favorite comic movie. I recommend you to go on the first Batman 4D flight stimulation ride. It's an experience you wouldn't want to miss.

 

4. Get a quick bite in Old Town

There's a lot of culture that people don't see in Macau if you just stay in the Cotai strip. Venture out to Old Town Macau where you'll see the Ruins of St. Paul and try their local delicacies in the food stalls. I can't get enough of the Curry Balls and of course, Beef Jerky!

 4. Sip on cocktails at The Ritz Carlton
The best view of the city is on the top floor of the Ritz Carlton. Pretty amazing how they made this small city into a skyscraper center.
