A Lazy Girl's Guide to Looking Good

I think it's an important life skill to be able to look like you've spent three hours dressing up when in reality, you only had 30 minutes. (Or less!)

I love being a girl. Doing my hair, putting on false eyelashes, wearing heels, and applying make up all come natural to me but there are days that I just want to walk out the house wearing sweats and my hair in a pony tail but I know there's no way I can take my outfit shots or attend events looking like that. I've listed five cheats to looking good without putting in the time.

1. Jumpsuits are your best friend
It takes more of an effort to match your top and bottom together. Instead, just pick one piece and dress it up.

2. Get eyelashes extensions
I spend at least ten minutes of my make up routine trying to make sure my false eyelashes are put in place. You wouldn't want your falsies to fall in the middle of the day so I triple check to make sure it's glued on correctly. I usually only wear them when I'm going to an event but lately, I've had to attend events EVERYDAY so I went to Brow Lounge in Glorietta 3 to get my eyelash extension. It takes around an hour but it's completely painless. You may feel uncomfortable at first because your eyelashes will feel heavier than normal. If you take good care of them, it can last up to three weeks.

3. Have your eyebrows embroidered
Eyebrow tattoos are so last year. This year, the in thing is eyebrow embroidery. It's better because it looks natural. I get mine done at Fleek Eyebrow and Beauty Clinic. Jane Pecson, the owner, is a good friend of mine. She went all the way to Korea just to study how to do it.

4. Wear bright lipstick
When you're in a hurry, you don't have time to put on full coverage make up. Stick to the simple steps but the ones that make the most impact. For me, it's wearing a bright shade of lipstick. It instantly brightens your face and people will look at your lips instead of the rest of your face.

5. Match your shoes with your bag
This is an old trick I learned from my older cousin. When your shoes match with bag, you look put together. It's a no brainer combination. Try it for yourself!
