Wild Juan, Tagaytay

Where Southern comfort meets East and West.

Looking for a new restaurant to try this weekend? Drive up to Tagaytay to get the Wild Juan experience. They just recently opened its doors to the public last March 2016. Their head chef, Tommy Murillo, happens to be a childhood friend/ neighbour. When I asked him why he decided to put up a restaurant in Tagaytay instead of Manila, he answered, "I wanted a place where people could sit outdoors without having to complain about the heat and the pollution while eating good food." Living in the city does get hectic. It's good to take a breather once in a while.

Wild Juan is known to be a restaurant but they also have a bed and breakfast. You have the option to stay the night so you don't have to think about driving after eating. (It's bad to drive when you are full because you will get sleepy btw)

Wild Juan already has plans to expand to offer more exciting things. I can't wait for that!

Accommodation

At Wild Juan, they have three types of room. The standard room (good for two) is where we stayed but they also have a deluxe room which has a queen bed and a single bed (good for three) and a family room which has three queen beds. (good for six) All the rooms look similar. The only difference is the number of beds. You can rent out all the rooms. Just send them an email to inquire about the rates.

Food

As soon as you take a look at their menu, you will notice that their food is definitely one-of-a-kind. They gave Filipino dishes and put a Western twist. Caldereta Wings, Sisig Paksiw, Krispy Kasoy Kare-Kare are a few of their best sellers.

Beer Garden

My favorite place is the Beer Garden. At night, it's a fun chill place to drink with your friends. It's outdoors so you get to breathe fresh air and sit under the stars.
