Being in front of a camera isn't as glamorous as everyone thinks. A camera is somewhat like a magnifying glass. It makes you feel more conscious about the way you look. All your flaws are exposed. I still get nervous being in front of a camera sometimes because I know I'm far from perfect and I don't look like what society deems as beautiful. I can go on and on about all the things I feel insecure about but I choose not to. I do acknowledge my flaws exist but I'm not letting that overpower my confidence. You are your biggest critic. Tune out the voice in your head that says you can't because you can.
