Surf Theori is a hidden Gem in Liw-liwa

Planning to surf this summer? Skip La Union and Baler and visit Liw-liwa in Zambales instead. This surf town may be small but it has so much to offer. I felt like I was back in Bali when I arrived. Who would've thought I would find vegan burgers, cold brew and crystals here?

Accommodation

No matter what type of traveler you are, you'll find a place in Liw-Liwa. I stayed in Surf Theori with two of my girl friends-- Jessi and Trina. They have private rooms with your own bathroom which fits up to four pax and they also have huts that can fit up to three pax with a shared bathroom. There are also hostels nearby if you're a solo traveler/ backpacker.

The beach is just a 5 minute walk from the resort

I love how the resort has wall art painted by local artists

Food

My favorite part of our trip to Liw-liwa was the food. There are around 10 restaurants in town (if i'm not mistaken) and each restaurant has its own specialty. I wasn't expecting much since usually whenever I go to the beach the food is just seafood but Liw-liwa's food was something else. They have vegan burgers, pizza rolls, an Ilocano restaurant that has authentic Vigan longganisa and more.
*Tip: Eat in the pasta bar. I can't remember the name of the restaurant but it's the best tuna pasta that I've had in my life.

Tadhana is a Filipino restaurant that serves dishes like Lechon Kawali, Garlic Bagoong and Chicken Inasal

Board Culture has the best milk shakes and pasta
Sharing with you other photos that I took from the trip
They sell handicrafts to support the community

I'm so lucky to call the Philippines home--- where I can literally spend every weekend in a different beach because there are so many to choose from. It would take me years to visit all the beaches in this country but it's a good thing I discovered Liw-liwa before everyone else did. I'm sure travelers will be flocking here this summer.
