How I Feel About Blogging Nowdays

At end of the every year, I make a long blogpost looking back at the year's highlights or write down my goals for the new year. This year is different because I only have one resolution for 2018 and that is to write more.

Blogging used to give me so much excitement. Every day, I would make it a point to draft an entry. I would stay up late at night thinking of new topics to write about. Sometimes to the point that I wouldn't be able sleep because of all the ideas running through my brain. The notes section on my phone was overflowing with possible topics to write about or some random thought that entered my head. I was so passionate about creating content. I don't know what or how it happened. I woke up one day and my outlook on blogging suddenly changed. Now, I only write when I feel like it or when I have a sponsored post due. (which is horrible, I know) I never started this blog for the followers or the fame so even if most people have ditched blogs and converted to Youtube it shouldn't affect me because the real reason why I blog is because I love to write. I've always found it therapeutic to write down my thoughts. It is my outlet of my emotions because we all know (especially my boyfriend) what an emotional person I am. I can't contain it inside my petite self. It needs to be expressed and yet I have so much content just pilling up in my laptop. I haven't had the inspiration to publish any of it. Here comes in one of the cons of being a blogger. It's you and you alone. You don't have a boss to tell you when your deadline is. You don't have an office space to work in. You don't have a team to help you out with your weak points. When you have no drive well your blog will just fall flat.

So for 2018, I hope to bring back the passion and zest I had for writing and this blog. Maybe there is something that you have fallen out of love with that needs to be rekindled again this coming year. Lets support each other and push ourselves to say no inconsistency and yes to full commitment.

I wish you all a happy, happy, new year!
