Coco Beach Island Resort, Puerto Galera

Puerto Galera (located in Oriental Mindoro) is a popular summer destination because of all the diving spots and the annual Malasimbo Festival. It can get very crowded on the island during this time of the year but I'll fill you in on a little secret. If you want to visit Puerto Gallera and avoid the congestion of people, book your stay at Coco Beach Island Resort.
It is secluded from the rest of the resorts on the island but it's not a problem because you will not get bored or run out of things to do. Quite frankly, you will wish you had more time to be able to do everything. The resort offers so many activities 101 activities to be exact.

Getting There
There are two options:
1. Drive to the Batangas Port and take the boat that goes to Coco Beach Resort. It's a special boat so make sure to ask any of the boat men at the port.

2. Coco Beach Island Resort has a shuttle to to take you there. The shuttle will pick you up at Shell Magallanes and then directly take you to the port.

Accommodations
Coco Beach Island Resort has five types of rooms. The standard room starts at P2,500 while the family room (good for six) is around P10,500. Take note that not all rooms are air-conditioned. We stayed at the Hilltop Room which was one of the non air-conditioned rooms but it was cool and breezy at night. To book a room, you can go directly to their website: http://www.cocobeach.com

Day One
We arrived at the resort a little after 1 pm. We had a late lunch at the Carabao Restaurant then just lay around by the pool. We even took a nap and played board games while munching on fries. I wanted to try their boating activities so I signed Toby and I up for the fish feeding and the glass boat ride.

Day Two
We woke up at 8 am to fuel up with breakfast before going island hopping. The resort offers a free island hopping tour. They go to a different island each day. When we got back to the resort, we had lunch at their Italian restaurant called Trattoria. We were planning to try more water activities but we extended our nap to dinner time. Yes, our nap was that good.
